Our beginner sewing pattern collection currently has no verified beginner projects. We are developing the information needed to help new sewists choose with confidence: clear instructions, an identified set of skills, suitable materials and trial sewing of the complete project.

Find a manageable next step

Choose a technique you want to practise and look at the actual construction involved. Small pieces, close curves, zippers and slippery fabrics can add difficulty even when the finished item looks simple. Clothing also brings fitting decisions.
