A little denim layer with a pointed collar, chest pockets and fine topstitching. This 18-inch doll denim jacket sewing pattern is planned specifically for miniature clothing, with lightweight construction and a front opening that makes dressing the doll easier.

The planned jacket

• A short, straight body with front and back yokes and visible topstitching.
• A pointed collar and two small, open-top patch chest pockets without flaps.
• Long sleeves with simple narrow finishes that reduce bulk at doll scale.
• A flat front placket with concealed hook-and-loop closure. Optional stitched decoration gives the appearance of buttons without loose hardware.
• A narrow hem finish and a plain back with a center seam.

Check your doll's measurements

The design is intended for dolls approximately 18 inches (46 cm) tall. Height alone does not establish fit. Compare the doll's chest, waist, shoulder width, arm length and hand size before choosing the finished measurements and opening width. Dolls from different ranges can have very different proportions. No compatibility with a particular doll brand is claimed.

Fabric and small-scale sewing

Choose lightweight denim or a similarly stable, soft woven cotton. Heavy jeans fabric can create excessive bulk at the collar, pocket corners and placket. Test a small seam stack with your fabric and thread first. The planned construction uses simplified pocket and sleeve details suited to miniature garments. Select closures and decoration appropriate to the intended user's age and use.

Your digital order

The order covers preparation of the jacket pattern and an English guide explaining cutting, construction, the front opening and finishing. Final printing layouts, pattern dimensions and PDF page counts are confirmed when the files are prepared. The tee, skirt, shoes and doll shown for styling are not included.

The pattern has not yet been drafted, sewn or fit-tested. The images are generated design previews of the planned jacket. Make a fitting sample before cutting your chosen fabric.
