Curved princess seams continue from the armholes to the above-knee hem, giving the sleeveless outline gentle waist shaping without a horizontal waist join.

An integral bottle neckline and continuous panels

Deep mulberry shows the front and back. Petrol teal illustrates the same dress in another color. There is no waist seam, gathered skirt, separate belt, pocket or additional sleeve view. The raised neckline is part of the body construction; it is not a detachable collar. This is an original retro-inspired interpretation without an authenticated period-pattern claim.

Stable knit and fitting development

A stable ponte-type knit with suitable recovery is a starting direction. Test its stretch across and along the grain, recovery after wear and resistance to curling. The final fabric requirements will be confirmed during preparation. A woven fabric should not be substituted without redesigning the pattern's ease and dressing arrangement.

The English guide will address the curved panel seams, center seams through the integral neck, armhole finishing and a stretch-compatible hem. Neck height, head clearance and the final dressing opening need to be resolved together in drafting. A concealed opening may be required after sampling; the previews do not establish a guaranteed pull-on fit or a finished fastening method.

A complete fitting sample must check comfort at the standing neckline, armhole coverage, bust balance, seated hip ease and hem movement. Confirm the neckline's recovery rather than relying on stretching it over the head. The amount of topstitching and internal edge support will follow fabric tests.

The 1960s-inspired panel dress is planned for woven fabric with short sleeves and a round neckline. The A-line knit day dress has set-in sleeves and a separate round neckband. This sleeveless sheath owns the integral bottle-neck knit construction.
