Detached Bell Sleeves PDF Sewing Pattern

Prepared after purchase. Digital delivery within 1 business day. Long, sheer bell drapes fall from smooth upper-arm sections in this planned pair of detached sleeves. The sleeves are worn independently of a dress, with bare shoulders and free hands.

A removable pair with an asymmetric drape

• Two separate sleeves beginning around the middle of the upper arm
• Smooth upper sections with a narrow elastic-supported top edge
• Lightly gathered joins just above the elbows
• Wide bell openings, shorter at the front wrist and trailing toward the mid-calf behind
• Fine narrow hems around the flowing edges

The lavender views show the front and rear of one design. Dusty rose is an alternative color of the same sleeves. This order covers a left and right sleeve pair. The sleeves have no connecting shoulder or back section and are not sewn into a bodice armhole.

Sheer fabric and upper-arm support

A lightweight chiffon or a comparable fluid sheer woven is the starting fabric direction. Compare its drape, seam visibility and resistance to snagging before selecting the cloth. Very stiff organza would hold a different outline. Sample the narrow hem and gathered join so they remain light without rolling or pulling.

The English guide will address the upper-arm support, sleeve seams, controlled gathering and long curved hems. The elastic choice, support tension and finished circumference must be developed together. A fitting sample should check comfortable support without slipping or constriction, elbow movement and hand clearance. Raise and lower the arms and check that the long drapes clear the floor and the intended outfit.

The previews do not establish a tested fit or universal attachment to an existing gown. Please confirm upper-arm measurements and desired sleeve length before ordering. The planned support edge is part of this new Sewlore development.
