The planned front-wrap apron
- Broad shoulder sections and deep sleeveless armholes
- Front overlap crossing the chest and continuing down the skirt
- Continuous gently flared body without a gathered waist seam
- Plain closed back from the shallow neckline to the hem
- Narrow waist ties meeting at the wearer's left side
- One patch pocket with rounded lower corners at the wearer's right hip
- Contrast binding around the neckline, armholes and curved outer edges
Sage green is shown from the front and back. Terracotta repeats the same cut with warm-ivory binding. The short-sleeve shirt, brown skirt and shoes are styling layers; this product covers the apron only. The pocket curve, tie position and rear proportions are original Sewlore development choices.
Washable cloth and useful coverage
Consider a stable cotton, cotton-linen blend or supple light twill. Preshrink the main fabric and binding together, and check that the contrast does not transfer color during washing. Test the binding around the lower front curve before cutting the final trim.
The guide will address the wrap panels, shoulder joins, binding, pocket and reinforced tie attachment. Make a sample over the clothes you plan to wear beneath it. Check arm movement, front overlap while bending, tie access and pocket height. This is a household apron design; no specialist protective function is established.
The cross-back pinafore apron closes through a different back arrangement. For side ties joining separate front and back panels, compare the cobbler apron. Browse apron patterns and vintage-inspired projects.
