A folding collar and a closed pullover body

• Tall doubled self-fabric collar that can fold back when open
• Dropped shoulder seams and long generous sleeves
• Elastic enclosed in matching fabric casings at the wrists and lower edge
• Waist-length body with a smooth closed lower front and plain back
• No hood, pockets, drawcord or separate rib-knit bands

Dusty blue shows the front and back; cinnamon brown shows the same cut in another color. The charcoal trousers are styling only. Both colors stay within one pattern order.

Fabric and construction

An opaque medium-weight cotton French terry with a smooth outer face is the starting fabric. Check its recovery and how two layers behave in the collar. A bulky knit may make the zipper area stiff, while very light jersey may not hold the intended collar shape. Required stretch and elastic specifications will be established during preparation.

The guide will address stabilizing the zipper edges, finishing the lower end of its opening and enclosing the collar seams. Wrist and waist casings should gather the cloth evenly without restricting movement. Make a complete fitting sample to check pull-on access, reaching overhead, collar comfort and whether the waist hem stays in the intended position.
