Heart-Shaped Tote Bag PDF Sewing Pattern

Prepared after purchase. Digital delivery within 1 business day. The body itself forms the heart in this planned lined tote. Rounded upper lobes, a shallow dip at the open rim and a softly pointed lower edge give the bag its shape; a separate gusset adds depth around the sides and base.

Cranberry and petrol teal canvas are two color suggestions for this single design, both with an ivory lining. The curved outline is part of the sewn body, not a heart motif applied to a standard tote. This release covers the plain bag shown in the gallery.

Fabric, curves and support

A stable medium-weight cotton canvas with a lighter woven lining is the starting direction. Support layers will need testing so the lobes hold their shape without making the rim too stiff to open. The guide will address matching the gusset around the curves, controlling the center dip and lower point, lining the shaped rim and reinforcing the handles.

Choose intended contents before confirming dimensions. The narrower lower tip and shaped opening affect usable space. Make a sample to check access, handle drop, balance and reinforcement; no carrying-load rating or guaranteed capacity has been established. Internal pocket options are outside this design brief.
