Prepared after purchase. Digital delivery within 1 business day. Long princess panels shape this planned cross-strap jumper from its upper edge to a flared below-knee hem. Two buttoned front straps cross at the back, making a vintage-inspired layering dress with a smooth waist and no horizontal skirt join.
Continuous panels and crossed shoulder straps
- Adult layering jumper with a gently fitted upper body and flared lower panels
- Curved front and back princess seams continuing through the waist to the hem
- A shallow curved front top edge and two plain shoulder straps
- One small button attaching each strap at its front corner
- Straps crossing once into an X above a low straight back edge

Deep petrol cotton twill shows the same adult jumper from front, rear and strap detail. The ivory knit top and brown shoes are styling only. A separate blouse, matching child garment and alternative pocket or skirt views are not included.
Fabric and fitting development
A stable, supple cotton twill is the starting direction. Choose cloth that keeps the curved panel joins clear without making the flared hem rigid. Sample the front-button reinforcement, facing and zipper area, then assess how the fabric moves over your intended underlayer.
The English guide will address princess-panel assembly, neckline and strap finishing, button attachments and the rear zipper. A complete fitting sample must check bust balance, waist and sitting ease, back coverage and strap length. Set the crossed straps while wearing the intended top so they remain comfortable during reaching and bending. Final interfacing, closure dimensions and hem balance will be confirmed during preparation.
The adult vintage-inspired pinafore dress has fixed square straps, a defined waist seam, pockets and a separate skirt. This jumper develops continuous princess panels and crossed buttoned straps as its own construction family.
