Labels show pattern size / EU reference, not ready-to-wear sizing. Bust controls an analytical grade; neck size is assumed and must be checked against the wearer. Finished neckline includes 6 cm over the assumed neck. These are draft dimensions, not sewn measurements. Check neck comfort, shoulder balance, posture and the clothing underneath in a fitting sample.

Fabric & notions
Recommended fabric: Lightweight stable woven shell, lightweight lining and compatible contrast, with a soft cotton blend as a starting option. Fabric estimates use 146 cm usable width and are analytical layout estimates, not tested yields. Thick wool requires further turn-of-cloth development. Directional designs, nap, shrinkage and narrower width need extra allowance or a revised layout.

All 10 sizes are included in one $25 USD digital package. Make a 1907-inspired bolero cape with two short, lined tiers and long tapered front ends.
This pattern has not yet been sewn or fit-tested; the model images are AI-generated previews.
The short back and extended front create its distinctive silhouette. The cape layers join at a shared neckline and fall freely at their hems. Contrast appliques frame the upper front, with narrow braid and a small throat fastening completing the proposed finish.

This is a cape rather than a jacket with set-in sleeves. It has no sleeves, armholes or fitted shoulder seams. The 1907 reference describes its inspiration; this is a new interpretation, not a historically authenticated reconstruction.
Ten sizes in one purchase
Pattern sizes 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22 and 24 are supplied, with EU references 32 to 50 and bust references from 78 to 117 cm. These are project size labels, not a promise of ready-to-wear size equivalence. The handbook provides body measurements in centimetres and inches, finished dimensions and the assumptions used to grade the pattern.
Check your neck measurement and the finished neckline as well as the body chart. Shoulder balance, posture and the clothing worn underneath need checking in your sample. Custom fitting is not included.

The complete package contains 473 PDF pages across all sizes and alternative print formats. You do not print all 473 pages. Choose one size and one paper format: 20 to 23 A4 pages, 23 to 24 US Letter pages, or one A0 sheet. Read the separate 16-page handbook. Print at 100% scale and check the calibration square before assembling the pattern.
The ZIP also includes ten editable Seamly2D pattern files, twenty SVG files and supporting measurement and quality-check data. The handbook covers print selection, tile assembly, piece identification, cutting, lined-tier assembly, contrast applique, the neckline, fastening and fitting checkpoints.
Fabric and preparation
Use a lightweight, stable woven shell with a lightweight lining and compatible contrast fabric. A soft cotton blend is a starting option. The lining uses the same outlines as the shell, so thick wool needs further turn-of-cloth development. The guide includes size-specific fabric estimates derived from the pattern layout; these are analytical estimates, not tested fabric yields.
Prepare thread, a removable marker, a throat hook and loop or bar, and 6 mm braid. Optional contrast interfacing and small fastening support patches are discussed in the guide. Sample the fabric, lining and edge finish together before committing to the full garment.
