Shaped shoulder yokes and pointed pocket flaps give this proposed women's shirt its Western-inspired character. The design uses a fitted body with bust and waist darts, balanced around a snap front and separate collar stand. Its lines take inspiration from vintage Western shirts.

Fabric and fitting

Consider cotton shirting, chambray or a lightweight denim that presses cleanly. Test the yoke seams and snap reinforcement in the chosen fabric before committing to the final cloth. A full fitting sample should check bust shaping, shoulder balance and movement through the sleeves. Contrast fabric can highlight the yokes once their shape is established. This is a new Western-inspired design, with no claim of authenticated period construction.
