A V-shaped front and an open V back give this planned woven dress its simple outline. Broad shoulder sections frame the neckline, while a narrow tie crosses the upper back. Bias-cut skirt panels bring soft movement to the long and mini views, both included in one $25 USD preparation order.

Eucalyptus-jade previews show the long view from front and back. The muted plum preview shows the shorter hem with the same upper-body design. The small back tie helps control the neckline; it is not intended to tighten the whole waist. The opening, waist seam and bias balance will be developed together rather than relying on fabric stretch alone.

Fabric and sewing

Start with an opaque fluid woven such as silk crepe, a suitable viscose crepe or rayon challis. Compare bias stretch and recovery before choosing a fabric. A stiff cloth will give a different fall, while a sheer cloth would need an additional coverage solution. The proposed main garment is unlined; opacity and seam finishing must be checked in the sample.

The English guide will address grain placement, supporting the V edges, narrow tie construction and allowing the skirt to settle before levelling the hem. Make a complete fitting sample to assess neckline coverage, shoulder stability, waist ease and movement. Check the back tie while reaching and the short hem while sitting. A concealed side fastening is planned as an original Sewlore development choice, with its position and length confirmed during preparation.
