Planned design
A flat animal outline can turn a rag quilt into a decorative fabric project with its own panel arrangement. This planned design uses original animal-shaped sections, with face and ear details built into the layout rather than copied from a character. Flannel or another suitable woven quilting fabric could show the clipped seam finish, with backing and batting chosen together during development. Sewing will focus on aligning the layers, assembling the shaped sections and controlling the exposed seam allowances. The finished project is a flat quilted piece rather than a stuffed toy, with its display dimensions confirmed during preparation.
