Fabric and sewing considerations
A fluid woven crepe or viscose with a balanced weave could suit the intended fall. Assess a sample for drape, opacity and distortion before deciding on your fabric. Bias behaviour varies, so material quantities and suitability will be confirmed during preparation.
The English guide will address grain placement, handling the cut panels, stabilizing the waist and allowing the skirt to hang before levelling the hem. Make a trial skirt to assess the waist, hips and movement. Allow time for the fabric to settle before choosing the final hem length.
