Bow Cushion Sewing Pattern

Prepared after purchase. Digital delivery within 1 business day. Two softly filled fabric lobes gather into a wide center band in this planned bow cushion. The broad outer edges keep the shape clear on a sofa or chair, without long ribbon tails.

• Controlled gathering where the lobes meet at the center
• Wide separate fabric wrap band around the middle
• Same plain woven fabric on the front and rear
• Planned closed turning and filling openings without a zipper or removable cover
• No hanging tails, piping, decorative buttons or embroidery

Dusty terracotta previews show the same cushion from the front, rear and an angle. The rear includes a discreet closed join across the center band. This is a shaped filled cushion, not a slipcover for a standard square pillow insert; final dimensions will be developed with its filling arrangement.

Fabric and construction planning

A supple but stable furnishing-weight cotton or linen blend is a possible starting point. A very stiff cloth may resist the center gathering, while a loosely woven fabric can distort around the filled corners. Sample the chosen cloth with the filling before deciding how firmly to fill each lobe.

The English guide will address shaping the lobe corners, leaving and closing filling openings, distributing filling evenly and attaching the center band over controlled gathers. The closed band join is our planned development choice. Make a trial cushion to check symmetry, band tension and the way it rests on the intended furniture.

The design is intended as an adult-room decorative cushion. It is not infant sleep bedding, a support device or a tested ergonomic product. No separate cushion insert or removable-cover pattern is included.
