Planned design

A rounded lower body gives this planned baby romper its bubble silhouette. The design brings a woven upper section together with gathered leg openings and an opening at the gusset, so its structure differs from a close knit bodysuit. A lightweight cotton lawn or soft poplin is a possible starting fabric, with enough flexibility to form the gathers. Sewing will focus on joining the upper section, distributing the lower fullness and finishing the opening edges. Closure details and elastic requirements will be determined in development. A sample is needed to assess dressing access and proportions before cutting the final fabric.
