Planned design

A wrap front and a soft shawl collar define this planned child's robe. The design includes long sleeves and ties attached at the waist area, with proportions developed specifically for a child rather than scaled from an adult file. A cotton terry or a stable soft knit may suit the concept, subject to the final construction requirements. Sewing will focus on the collar transition, cuff finishing and reinforcing the tie attachment points. A sample must be used to assess length, movement and the closure arrangement. The brief does not establish an age range or certify the garment for sleepwear use.
