A supported shoulder-cutout design

The neckline stays above the chest and the fabric continues over each shoulder. Oval openings sit at the outer shoulders, with sleeves below them. This construction gives the exposed-shoulder detail a clear outline without an elastic neckline across the upper arms.

Clean shoulder bindings, a stable neckline and flexible seams are the main techniques. Some experience sewing stretch fabrics will help. Match the thread and needle to your fabric, and test the finishing method on a scrap first.
