The bust sections are gathered fabric panels, not molded bra cups. The front midriff and skirt remain smooth, without drawstrings, elastic shirring or front buttons. There is no rear lacing, boning, underwire or built-in support claim. The skirt has no waist gathers, circular layers, pockets, slit or separate belt.

All three muted-cobalt previews show the same adult female model and dress from the front, rear and three-quarter angle. The solid fabric keeps the underbust seams, broad midriff and modest skirt flare visible. Taupe sandals are styling only and are not included.

Balance the halter and low back together

A light opaque woven with enough softness for the bust gathers and enough body for the smooth skirt is the starting direction. Sample a supple cotton sateen or comparable dress woven. Test opacity, pressing, shrinkage and seam stability before choosing final cloth; the preview texture does not establish an exact fiber or weight.

The English sewing guide will address distributing the bust gathers, joining the shaped midriff, making the tapered neck ties, fitting the lower-back section, inserting the invisible zipper and finishing the skirt. Our development direction uses faced, stabilized neckline and low-back edges. Exact facing depth, reinforcement, lining needs, tie length and zipper length will be settled during preparation.

Make a complete fitting sample to check bust room, the deep V, side coverage and the low back while reaching and sitting. Assess neck-tie pressure and the balance between the upper panels and fitted midriff. Tightening the neck bow cannot replace a correctly sized bodice. Check seated hem coverage and walking room before cutting final fabric; the illustrations do not demonstrate tested fit or support.
