Design and fabric

This full cloak is planned with generous sweep and a separately shaped hood, allowing the hood and body to be balanced as connected parts. A reinforced neckline fastening would support the front edges without using a fitted jacket opening. Consider a soft coating, a medium weight suiting or a suitable costume fabric once the desired weight is known. A lighter lining could make the inside easier to finish neatly. The sewing guide would address hood assembly, neckline reinforcement and allowing curved hems to settle before finishing. Fabric choice would determine warmth and drape.
