Prepared after purchase. Digital delivery within 1 business day. A soft hood and a full buttoned opening define this planned hooded quilted jacket sewing pattern. The loose upper-hip body has dropped shoulders, straight long sleeves and two discreet slanted welt pockets.

Muted sage shows the front and back. Aubergine shows the same jacket in another color. The lower front corners are gently rounded, and the sleeve ends stay loose without elastic or separate cuffs. This release covers one buttoned upper-hip view. There is no zipper, drawcord, waist seam, hem band, belt or patch pocket.

Quilted fabric and pocket planning

A supple pre-quilted woven cotton with light batting and a smooth woven backing is the starting fabric direction. It needs enough flexibility to turn around the hood and front corners without making the body rigid. A quilted sample prepared from compatible woven layers can also be assessed during preparation; its shrinkage and finished thickness must be checked before cutting the garment pieces.

The English guide will address hood assembly, dropped-shoulder sleeve joins, binding curves, supporting the button areas and constructing the slanted welt pockets through the quilted layers. Pocket bags and seam finishes will be developed with the chosen backing. This is one outward-facing jacket; a reversible construction is not included. The planned quilting does not establish a tested warmth or weather-protection rating.

Make a complete fitting sample over the clothes intended beneath the jacket. Check reaching room, sleeve length with bent arms, front overlap while sitting and access to both pockets. Test the hood raised and lowered for neck balance and clear sight lines. Sample the welt corners, buttonholes and binding through the full fabric thickness before using the final cloth. Finished measurements, material quantities and quilting requirements will be confirmed during preparation.
