Planned design

An outer skirt over an integrated pair of shorts gives this planned skort its distinct construction. The two layers meet at a shared waistband, with the skirt cut to move over the shorts rather than simply extending a trouser hem. A light stable woven fabric is a possible starting choice, and the inner layer may need a softer compatible cloth. Sewing will focus on assembling the shorts first, aligning the two waist edges and keeping the layers free to move. Rise, coverage and seated ease need sample checks. The brief makes no athletic or specialist performance claim.
