Turn meaningful fabric into a keepsake bear with a movable head, arms and legs. This design pairs an oatmeal body with contrasting paw pads and inner ears, a softly shaped muzzle and an embroidered face. The five-joint construction lets the finished bear sit in different display poses.

Designed for a personal keepsake

• Planned finished height of about 35 cm (14 in)
• Five internal disc joints at the neck, shoulders and hips
• Separate paw pads and inner ears for small pieces of keepsake fabric
• Gusseted head, embroidered eyes and a hand-stitched nose
• Separate turning and stuffing openings for the body and limbs

Stable woven fabric is the starting point for this design. Lightweight shirt fabric can be supported with suitable interfacing; a sturdy body fabric can be combined with meaningful scraps in the paws and ears. This project is intended as an adult keepsake display bear.

Sewing guidance

The English guide will cover fabric preparation, labeled pieces, mirrored cutting, seam matching, joint placement and assembly order before stuffing and closing. Working around small curves and fitting internal joints makes this an intermediate to advanced project. Fabric, stuffing and joint hardware are not included.

For a bear with fixed sewn-in limbs, choose the Sewn Teddy Bear pattern. This keepsake design uses a different jointed construction.

Files and delivery

Your order covers printable PDF templates in A4 and US Letter layouts, plus an English sewing guide. Final dimensions, print layouts and page counts will be confirmed in the prepared files. The images are design previews.
