A child-specific zip-up knit layer

Petrol-teal previews show the same child and hoodie from the front, rear and three-quarter angle. The hood lies down in each view. There are no eyelets, drawstrings, chest pockets or contrasting body panels. The jeans and trainers are styling only.

Choose knit fabric and matching rib together

An opaque cotton French terry or comparable sweatshirt knit is our starting direction. Match it with rib knit that has suitable stretch and recovery for the wrists and lower band. The final stretch requirements, hood finishing and zipper length will be resolved during preparation. Wash sample fabrics first and compare their shrinkage before combining them.

The English guide will address stabilizing the zipper edges, attaching the two pocket halves, assembling the hood and distributing the rib evenly. A complete sample must establish child-specific shoulder width, sleeve reach, hood room, pocket access and ease over the intended top. Check that the zipper lies flat and the lower band does not pull the front out of shape.

For a woven layer with a collar and set-in sleeves, compare the child jacket. The children's leggings offer a separate plain knit project with an elastic waist. This listing includes only the zip-up hoodie.
