Straight legs, a clean front and welt back pockets define this planned pair of men's tailored trousers. The design brief uses a dedicated menswear block, with the waistband, seat and rise developed together for a classic full-length trouser shape.

Planned construction

• Straight full-length legs with a plain front and back darts
• Zip fly with a waistband fastening and belt loops
• Slanted front pockets and welt back pockets
• Shaped waistband and turned hems with an intended pressed crease

Fabric and sewing notes

A medium-weight suiting, cotton twill or stable wool blend could support the tailored line. Test pressing and interfacing on scraps so the waistband and pocket edges hold their shape without excess bulk. Sewing will focus on the fly, pocket openings and waist finish. A toile should check seated ease, crotch balance and leg hang before the finished length is settled.

Your order covers preparation of a PDF sewing pattern and an English sewing guide. This design has not yet been drafted, sewn or fit-tested. Make a fitting sample before cutting your final fabric.

Measurements and PDF pages

The final size chart, finished measurements, print layouts and PDF page counts will be confirmed when prepared. Contact us before ordering to check the planned sizing against waist, hip, rise and inside-leg measurements. Custom fitting is not included. No finished garment or printed paper pattern is shipped.
