Fabric and sewing notes
A soft woven crepe or viscose challis could let the overlay fall without bulky knots. Check opacity and test the tie area where fabric layers gather. The sample should establish the position of the drape, pull-on clearance, waist comfort and skirt movement. The overlay and dress hem need separate balancing so their edges sit as intended.
