A softly gathered neckline and roomy sleeves give this off-shoulder blouse its relaxed shape. The hip-length body falls freely over trousers or a skirt, with a straight hem that can be worn loose or partly tucked.

A separate blouse with a gathered neckline

A narrow elastic casing runs around the upper edge, letting the neckline sit below both shoulders. There are no shoulder straps or cutout panels. Raglan seams and three-quarter sleeves keep the construction light, while narrow elastic cuffs bring the sleeve fullness together.

Choosing fabric

Choose a light woven fabric with a soft fall, such as opaque cotton voile, lawn or a fluid viscose woven. The ivory design preview shows a light cotton texture. Check opacity before cutting; very sheer fabric will need a separate layer beneath it. This design is for woven cloth, not a fitted knit top.

The main sewing steps include joining raglan seams, forming the neckline casing, threading elastic and finishing the hems. Confirm the elastic lengths and fabric quantities in the prepared instructions. The neckline should sit comfortably without pulling tightly across the upper arms.
