Design and fabric

This blouse is planned with a fitted upper body and a separate peplum that opens out from the waist. Fine front pintucks would add texture beside the button opening, while shaping through the side seams would define the waist without relying on the pintucks alone. Cotton lawn or a lightweight poplin could keep the small folds visible; a linen blend would give the peplum a softer finish. The sewing guide would address marking consistent tucks, stabilising the button area and joining the peplum cleanly. A plain fabric would emphasise the construction details.
