Design and fabric

This bucket hat is planned as a reversible accessory with a circular crown, shaped side band and gently sloping brim. Using a different fabric on each side would give the hat two looks while keeping the seam allowances enclosed. Cotton twill, quilting cotton with appropriate interfacing or a light canvas could be considered once the brim structure is set. The sewing work would focus on matching curved sections, distributing ease around the crown and topstitching the brim evenly. Head measurement and the intended fabric layers would guide the eventual size selection.
