Design and fabric

A scoop neckline, broad shoulder straps and a continuous torso form the brief for this one-piece swimsuit. Shaped side seams and elasticated openings would be developed together with the lining and gusset, rather than treated as ordinary woven dress details. The intended fabric direction is swimwear knit with suitable stretch and recovery, paired with swim lining and compatible elastic. The sewing guide would focus on controlling elastic tension and avoiding stretched seams. Fabric performance, bust coverage and torso length would need careful assessment in a trial garment before the design is used for swimming.
