Design and fabric

This ascot is planned with wide shaped ends joined through a narrower neck section, so the fabric can be arranged beneath an open collar. Light interfacing would be considered only where needed to control the fold without making the tie rigid. A silk twill, a soft woven polyester or another fine draping fabric could be explored for the final version. The guide would focus on accurate cutting, turning the shaped ends and pressing the edges without flattening the fabric. Small prints or solid colours would show the folded shape clearly when the tie is worn.
