Planned closed-front design

A shaped woven bodice, shallow scoop neckline and short set-in sleeves meet a gently flared midi skirt. The waist ties are anchored at the side seams and drawn across the front to a small side bow. They shape the waist over a fully closed garment. The dress opens with a concealed centre-back zipper; loosening the ties does not open the bodice or skirt.

The proposed design uses princess shaping through the bodice, a waist seam and an uninterrupted skirt front. This gives the tie detail a clear purpose without depending on an overlapping wrap edge. The planned silhouette has no front split, waist cutout or twisted bodice panel.

Fabric and construction

A light to medium-weight woven with a soft drape is the starting point, such as a suitable linen-viscose blend. Fabric opacity, seam stability and the bulk of a tied sample should be checked before selection. Knit fabric and bias-cut versions are not included automatically.

The sewing plan focuses on shaping the bodice, setting the sleeves, securing the tie anchors, finishing the neckline and inserting the back zipper. A fitting sample will help check bust shaping, waist position and movement before cutting final fabric.

This design has not yet been drafted, sewn or fit-tested. The final size chart, finished measurements, material quantities, print layouts and PDF page counts will be confirmed when prepared. Contact Sewlore before ordering to confirm suitability. Custom fitting is not included.
