Balance woven cloth, ribbing and snap support

A supple medium-weight wool-blend woven or stable twill is the starting direction for the main shell. Choose rib knit with compatible recovery for the collar, cuffs and lower band, and a smooth lining that allows movement. The previews suggest a tonal woven texture; final fabric, ribbing and support requirements will be confirmed during preparation. The main body is woven, even though its edge bands are knitted.

Test the snap hardware through the full placket stack before cutting the garment. Reinforcement must support opening forces without creating a hard ridge. The English guide will address the overlap, snap placement, rib-to-woven joins, welt-pocket bags, sleeve assembly and lining closure. Check that the lower band meets the front placket evenly and does not pull the fasteners out of alignment.

Plan a complete fitting sample

Try the sample over the layer you plan to wear beneath it. Check shoulder reach, upper-arm room, cuff comfort and how the hem band rests when sitting. Fasten and open the snaps repeatedly in a construction sample to assess the support layers. No tested fit, warmth or protective performance is claimed.
