Planned design

A straight long body, band collar and partial front placket define this planned kurta. Long set-in sleeves and side slits complete the garment, making its construction distinct from a pull-on tunic with a boat neckline. A breathable stable cotton or a light linen blend could suit the concept, with interfacing selected to keep the collar and placket controlled. The guide will focus on the placket opening, collar attachment and finishing the side slits evenly. Shoulder balance and body ease require sample checks during development. The design is a contemporary kurta interpretation, with no historical or cultural authenticity claim.
