Fabric behaviour comes first
Consider a knit with enough body and recovery to maintain the intended shape after sitting and walking. A stable interlock or suitable ponte could be assessed during development. No required stretch percentage, fabric weight or ease value has yet been tested, so wait for the confirmed specifications before buying materials.
The English guide will explain checking stretch direction, joining knit seams, applying the elastic casing and finishing the hem without stretching it out. A sample in fabric with comparable behaviour will be needed to assess waist comfort, movement and the way the skirt returns to shape. The brief makes no compression or athletic performance claim.
