Design and fabric

This cape coat is planned with shaped shoulder panels and front arm openings, giving the outer layer a defined structure. A stand collar and concealed button fastening would keep the front simple, while a separate lining would finish the inside. Wool coating, a firm brushed woven or another structured coating fabric could suit the intended outline. The guide would explain reinforcing the arm openings, joining the shoulder panels and managing the lining around access points. A trial garment would be used to check the shoulder position and reach through the openings before the outer fabric is chosen.
