An overlapping front and side waist tie give this woven wrap vest a defined shape without a row of buttons. The short, hip-length cut is intended to layer over a blouse, with a hidden inside tie keeping the underlap in place.

Design details

• Sleeveless V-neck formed by overlapping fronts
• Hip-length hem with subtle waist shaping
• One visible side waist tie and one internal securing tie
• Lined body with cleanly finished armholes

Fabric and construction

A stable but supple linen blend or lightweight suiting should allow the overlap to lie flat. Avoid bulky cloth at the tied waist. The planned guide will cover front overlap balance, securing the inside tie and checking neckline coverage in a fitting sample.
