Design and fabric

A shaped back yoke, curved front pockets and a zip fly form the starting point for these planned jeans. Straight leg and gentle bootcut views would share the same upper construction, keeping the alternatives together in one design. A stable denim with little or no stretch is the intended fabric direction, subject to the final draft. Pocket bags would use a lighter woven fabric to reduce bulk. Construction guidance would focus on the fly sequence, seam reinforcement and visible topstitching. Testing the fabric thickness with the intended needle and thread would help establish a workable finish.
