1910s-Inspired Pointed Tunic & Skirt PDF Sewing Pattern

A pointed tunic over a narrow, ankle-length skirt gives this 1910s-inspired ensemble its long, layered outline. The loose V-neck upper piece falls into an angular front point; slim contrast bands trace the neckline, wide sleeve openings and hem. Both the tunic and skirt belong to this single planned pattern order.

Two pieces with distinct construction

• Relaxed woven tunic with a V front neckline and modest shallow back neckline
• Wide, short integral sleeves and a pointed front and back hem
• Narrow applied contrast bands around the neckline, sleeves and lower edge
• Separate straight ankle-length skirt with a fitted waist, concealed side opening and a low back walking vent

The tunic is intended to pass over the head without a front button opening. Its length, neck opening and side clearance need checking in the draft. The skirt has its own fastening; it is not attached to the tunic. The back arrangement and fastening plan are Sewlore development choices.

Fabric and color planning

A supple silk crepe or comparable stable woven with a soft fall is the starting direction. The band fabric should be light enough to follow the pointed hem without pulling it stiff. Before sewing the final version

Plan a complete sample rather than fitting the upper piece alone. Check the V depth, sleeve lift, position of both points and clearance between the tunic and skirt when seated. Try the skirt while walking and climbing steps before confirming the vent and hem. The guide preparation will address stabilizing the V, turning the pointed band neatly and aligning the skirt grain.
