A square neckline and a pointed overskirt shape this late-1910s-inspired party dress. The narrow skirt keeps the silhouette long, while the loose sleeves and angular overlay soften its outline. Mist blue and pale celadon previews show the same design without decorative motifs.

Fabric and sewing notes

A light woven crepe or similarly fluid cloth will help the sleeve openings and pointed layers fall softly. Check opacity and the weight of overlapping layers before buying the final fabric. Use a sample to assess the square neckline, sash placement and walking room in the narrow skirt. Stabilise the neckline during sewing and allow the hanging overlay edges to settle before finishing them.
