The relaxed body has no waist seam or belt. This is an original period-inspired development with plain contrast trim; reproduced embroidery transfers and archival publications are not included.
Fabric and sewing notes
A medium-weight linen or stable cotton can keep the pockets useful while allowing the shoulder gathers to fall. Test the main cloth and contrast together for shrinkage, color transfer and seam bulk. Support the button area without stiffening the whole front. Check sleeve reach, cuff circumference and movement through the upper back in a fitting sample, including room for clothing worn underneath.
