A crisp diagonal front panel gives this late-1960s-inspired dress its graphic shape. The lightly fitted body flares gently toward the knee, with a jewel neckline and a small buttoned tab at the front shoulder.

Planned design and included views

• Asymmetric contrasting front inset with angled seams and subtle topstitching
• One-piece body without a separate waist join, with light bust and waist shaping
• Jewel neckline and a decorative single-button neck tab
• Three sleeve options: three-quarter, short and sleeveless
• Smooth back with waist darts and a planned concealed center-back zipper
• Gently flared near-knee hem, without pockets or a belt

All three sleeve options are included in the planned pattern. Navy and ivory previews show the three-quarter-sleeve front, matching back and sleeveless front. Burnt orange and ivory show the short-sleeve option. The back construction remains shared; color is a fabric suggestion.

Fabric and sewing notes

Consider a stable medium-light woven crepe, firm cotton or fine suiting that holds the diagonal joins without pulling. Choose matching weights for both colors, test opacity and colorfastness, and check seam balance before topstitching. Make a fitting sample to assess bust shaping, shoulder width, sleeve movement and hem length. A belt or scarf is not part of the pattern scope.
