Fabric and sewing notes
A fluid, opaque woven crepe is the starting point for development. A suitable silk or viscose fabric may work if its weave, weight and drape support the cowl. Test a swatch for opacity, seam slippage and bias distortion before selecting fabric. A fibre name alone does not establish suitability.
The sewing guide will address bias grain placement, gentle handling of the panels, supporting the back neckline and letting the fabric settle before levelling the hem. A sample is needed to assess cowl depth, dressing clearance, shoulder coverage and movement through the bust and hips. Final fabric requirements will be confirmed with the draft.
