Bubble Mini Skirt PDF Sewing Pattern

Prepared after purchase. Digital delivery within 1 business day. This planned bubble mini skirt pairs a smooth fitted waistband with a softly rounded, tucked-under hem. Gentle gathers give the terracotta design its volume while the band keeps the natural waist clearly defined.

A single rounded bubble hem

• One adult mini skirt with a separate broad, stabilized waistband at the natural waist
• A single full outer skirt shell, gently gathered into the band
• A continuous lower edge that turns inward and attaches to a shorter opaque lining
• A concealed center-back zipper through the band and upper skirt
• A plain front and back without pockets, ties, belt loops or decorative flounces

The shorter lining is planned to hold the outer hem inward and create the rounded silhouette. Its length and the gathering balance will be developed together; this is one skirt opening, without built-in shorts or garters. The order covers the single mini length shown.

Fabric and sewing preparation

Cotton poplin with a crisp but pliable hand is the planned starting point for the outer shell, shown here in soft terracotta. A lightweight opaque woven lining should be smooth against the body and compatible with the main fabric's care requirements. Prewash both fabrics and sample the waistband interfacing and gathered return before cutting the final garment.

The English guide will address stabilizing the waistband, distributing the waist gathers, inserting the concealed back zipper and joining the outer hem to the lining. A complete toile should check seated ease, hem coverage and how the lining supports the bubble shape while moving. Final materials, quantities and construction details will be confirmed during preparation.
