Fabric, entry and movement

Start with an opaque woven cloth that falls softly, such as a suitable viscose-linen blend or supple rayon twill. Test its recovery after washing and the weight of a gathered strip before choosing the ruffle proportions. A stiff fabric may make the sleeves and leg hems stand away from the body. Fabric quantities, seam allowances and final elastic lengths will be determined during preparation.

The English guide will address the V-neck facing, sleeve gathering, back keyhole finish, button loop, waist casing, sash and separately gathered leg ruffles. The precise back closure and facing construction are Sewlore development choices. There are no pockets in this release.

Make a full fitting sample to check torso length, seated ease, stride and access through the back opening. Test dressing and undressing before cutting the final cloth; the elastic waist and keyhole depth must work together. Check sleeve movement and short-leg coverage while walking and sitting. The images do not establish tested fit or finished measurements.
