A defined waist seam connects the bodice to a generously flared skirt, while plain long sleeves open gently at the wrists. Dusty rose and deep teal show the same design.

Gathered shoulders and a full skirt

The rose front and back show the same robe; the teal front changes only the color. The skirt's fullness comes from the curved panel and gore plan, with no densely gathered waist. Internal wrap ties, the neckline facing, precise panel layout and seam allowances will be resolved during preparation. Slippers are styling only.

Fabric and fitting plans

A soft opaque woven with enough drape for the full skirt is the starting direction. Consider a suitable viscose crepe, cotton blend or other supple woven after testing shrinkage and the weight of the long hem. Keep the shoulder gathering light enough to fall without standing away from the body.

The English guide will address the gathered shoulder joins, bodice shaping, waist seam, sleeve setting, faced wrist openings, wrap front and sash. Make a complete toile to assess shoulder balance, waist height, sleeve reach and overlap while sitting and walking. Let the curved skirt sections hang before leveling the final hem.
