Layered Handkerchief Skirt PDF Sewing Pattern

Prepared after purchase. Digital delivery within 1 business day. Two independently finished, pointed layers create the uneven hem of this planned handkerchief skirt. A smooth, shallow V waistband keeps the upper edge defined while the short skirt falls into soft angular folds.

A separate skirt with two pointed layers

• Adult short skirt with two flowing layers joined into the same waist seam
• Independent angular hems, with the points staggered around the body
• Shallow dipped front waistband and a level rear waistband
• Discreet concealed zipper planned at the left side
• Narrow finished edges and a smooth waist without elastic
• Shorter sections above the knee and longer points toward the knee, with exact lengths confirmed during preparation

Copper rose shows the front and back. Deep petrol illustrates the same skirt in a different fabric color. The lower sections are floating layers, not horizontal tiers stitched one below another. This release covers one short woven view. A top, attached shorts, separate underwear, long version or stretch-knit conversion is not included.

Cloth and pointed hems

A fluid, opaque woven crepe is the starting direction. Choose a cloth that falls into soft corners while keeping the doubled waist manageable. Sample the narrow hem at a point and on the diagonal edges before selecting the final fabric. Sheer cloth would change the coverage requirements and is outside the initial opaque brief.

The English guide will address arranging the two layers, stabilizing the shaped waist, installing the side zipper and finishing the angular hems. The zipper position and level rear band are Sewlore development choices. The final corner placement, waist shaping and layer balance will be resolved in preparation; these previews are not cutting diagrams.

Make a full sample to check the shortest hem sections while seated and reaching, the longer points while walking, and the bulk at the waist. Let the bias portions settle before the final hem is marked. There is no tested dance, skating or performance suitability claim.
