The relaxed body falls below the knee, while a matching sash brings the volume gently towards the waist. The planned shell uses a regular diamond quilting layout. The three previews show the same color, lapel shape, pocket treatment and length. The rear view shows the belt passing smoothly across the back; its knot stays at the front. The collar is not a continuous shawl, and the garment has no hood, exposed front buttons or zipper.

Quilting, lining and finishing

A lightweight quilted woven shell with a compatible lining is the starting direction. Test the shell, batting and backing together before choosing materials: thickness changes the lapel roll, belt bulk and ease needed at the shoulder. The preview color and quilting grid are original design choices; they do not establish a particular fiber, insulation rating or waterproof finish.

The English guide will address balancing the diamond layout, forming the welt openings, assembling the collar, finishing the concealed fastening and joining the lining around the back vent. Quilting can reduce the usable dimensions of fabric, so a sample is needed before the final cutting plan. Snap placement, quilting spacing, material quantities and internal finishing will be resolved during preparation.

Check the coat over your intended layers

A complete fitting sample should check arm movement, lapel roll, front overlap when sitting and room for the clothing worn underneath. Test the pocket angle with the sash tied and confirm that the vent opens comfortably while walking. This is a sewing project for a planned garment, without a tested fit or performance claim.
