Prepared after purchase. Digital delivery within 1 business day. This planned open back flared romper sewing pattern combines a shaped one-piece body with wide short legs and low rear lacing. A softly squared scoop neckline and broad cap-like shoulders frame the front, while long vertical seams shape the torso without a horizontal waist join.

A continuous body with a laced open back

• Shallow squared scoop front with broad integrated shoulder extensions
• Fitted vertical princess panels continuing through the waist into two flared short legs
• Deep V-shaped open back with narrow matching cord through fixed fabric loops at the lower back
• Opaque back panels below the opening and separate, generously flared leg hems
• Planned concealed side zipper for dressing access and faced upper edges

Petrol blue shows the front and back; terracotta illustrates the same design in another color. This release covers one short romper with no waistband, belt, pockets or skirt overlay. The small cord fastening at the bottom of the back opening is separate from the planned side zipper. Sleeve, strap and waist-bow alternatives are not included.

Linen-blend fabric and fit planning

An opaque, supple linen blend with enough body to hold the leg flare is the starting fabric direction. Choose a stable woven cloth rather than stretch jersey, and assess opacity and recovery after sitting. The preview texture is illustrative; the final cloth must be sampled before cutting.

The concealed side opening, upper-edge facings and reinforcement behind the fabric loops will be developed during preparation. They are planned construction details, not evidence of a completed or tested sample. The English guide will address continuous panel assembly, matching the crotch and inseams, supporting the loop attachments, fitting the zipper and finishing the curved neckline, arm openings and flared hems.

Make a complete fitting sample before using final fabric. Check torso and rise length, seated coverage, arm movement and the stability of the broad shoulders. Test getting in and out with both the side zipper and rear lacing released. Check the back opening and loop tension while bending and sitting, with any intended undergarment. Lacing is a fastening detail; it does not establish a tested support or shaping effect. Hem balance and movement room must be checked on the complete sample.
