Pleated Culottes and Divided Skirt PDF Sewing Pattern

Planned design

These woven culottes are planned to hang like a full skirt while forming two separate legs. Deep center pleat overlays soften the visible leg division, and a fitted waistband keeps the upper edge defined. The proposed length falls below the knee.

The design requires its own divided-skirt balance through the rise, seat and pleat intake. It will have no separate skirt layer over shorts. A side zipper provides an opening through the waistband, with pockets placed in the side seams.

Fabric and sewing

Soft linen blends, woven crepe or lightweight suiting are starting options. Choose enough drape for the pleats to fall cleanly. Sewing will focus on the rise seam, pleat alignment and closure. A toile should check seated ease, stride and how the pleats open during movement.

We will prepare a PDF sewing pattern and an English sewing guide. This design has not yet been drafted, sewn or fit-tested. Make a fitting sample before cutting your final fabric.

The final size chart, finished measurements, print layouts and PDF page counts will be confirmed when the files are prepared. Please contact Sewlore before ordering to check suitability for the intended wearer. Custom fitting is not included.
