A loose robe with slit arm openings

• Broad flowing body with a full front opening
• Rounded neckline and full front edges finished with a soft flared ruffle
• Four small matching ties securing the upper front
• Finite slit arm openings through the draped sides, each with a ruffled edge
• Covered shoulders and upper arms, with no separate sleeve tubes
• Plain flowing back and an ankle-length hem
• A continuous body without a waist seam or belt

The peacock-blue front and back show the same robe; terracotta rose is an alternate color. The back arrangement, slit proportions and front overlap are original Sewlore development choices. This release covers the illustrated ruffled robe with ties. The side panels continue below the arm openings to the hem.

Fabric and sewing plans

A soft woven crepe with enough opacity for the intended use is the starting direction. The fabric should fall freely while supporting narrow ruffle seams and tie attachments. Sample the ruffle in the chosen cloth to check its weight and edge finish before buying the full length.

The guide will cover supporting the arm openings, joining the curved ruffles, reinforcing the ties and finishing the long front edges. A full fitting sample must check hand access, forward reach, shoulder balance, front coverage while sitting and hem clearance. The slit edges need enough movement room without pulling the neckline. Final ruffle fullness and the inside facing arrangement will be determined during preparation.
